The Airfields
The Airfields is a strategic employment site for Flintshire and is intended to be a mixed-use development, comprising residential, office and warehousing in a quality landscaped environment. Comprising 250 acres of prime development land in Deeside, North Wales. It is located within an established commercial location and is home to a number of large occupiers including Convatec, Airbus, Tata, Toyota, TNT and Great Bear.
The Airfields provides access to Junction 16 of the M56, 2 miles to the East, accessed by the recently improved A550 link road which in turn links to the regional motorway network. The site benefits from its proximity to the cities of Chester and Liverpool, situated 4 miles and 24 miles away respectively and the nearby airports of Manchester and Liverpool, each within a 45 minute drive time.
Praxis acquired the site in July 2010 from Defence Estates and has been working closely with the local authority and Welsh Government to develop plans for the site. Work on the initial infrastructure and enabling works will start on site later in Spring/Summer 2012, with serviced plots being brought forward towards the end of the year.
